Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or MRI, is a diagnostic test that uses radiofrequency waves and a strong magnetic field to show extremely detailed pictures of the inside of the body. Physicians use MRIs to examine soft tissues in the body, such as organs, muscle, cartilage, ligaments and tendons. The Imaging Center's high-quality scanner is the most current line of MRIs available.
